This is one of my favorite food hacks! I went out to eat and had some pretty amazing french fries. I took the leftovers home with the full intention to give them to our dog. When you reheat french fries in the microwave, they taste bad. Let’s be real here, microwave fries don’t even compare to fresh hot fries.
I wondered if there was a way to cook them so they tasted just like they did at the restaurant. I am pleased to tell you there is and they’re good! I tried this method and my husband said if I wouldn’t have told him they were leftovers he would’ve sworn I went into town and pick some up.
They were REALLY good. This recipe is so easy, I wish I would have known about this a lot sooner! You don’t need a lot of oil because they were already cooked in oil.
The instructions are simple. To get optimal results, I recommend using a cast iron skillet.
1. Preheat your skillet on medium heat with about 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
2. Add leftover French fries and cook for about 3-5 minutes. Once they start to brown slightly flip them. Cook an additional 3-5 minutes on the other side. Make sure they’re heated on all sides. Serve your hot fresh tasting French fries.
So easy right!? Do you have any cooking tips you’d like to share? Please leave a comment!
