I have been on a journey learning how to save money on organic products. Let’s just be real for a second, organic meat is really stinkin’ expensive.
When I saw that organic meat was nearly double the price of regular meat I panicked a little. I thought I would have to become a vegetarian. I’m glad to inform you this method will benefit you and your grocery store. This has saved us thousands every year.
I admit though the quality is worth it. But what if I told you I figured out a way how to get organic meat just as cheap if not cheaper than regular meat?
The technique is SO simple anyone can do it. It does not require any coupons. I save 50%-75% off the original price every week & my freezer stays packed full! You can do this no matter what state you live in and at almost any grocery store!
I have used this strategy for years and it works every single time. I love not having to pay full price. I am very picky about what meat I feed my family. I switched to all organic after watching a documentary that changed everything for us. It was down right repulsive what I saw on that screen. Organic meat is a much better quality.
This is how I do it. Every time they mark down the organic meat because the expiration or freeze by date is coming up I buy it all. If there are 12 packs of beef, I’m getting all 12 packs. Why might you ask? I have two reasons. The beef that is normally $5.99 lb is marked down to $1.99 lb which is an amazing deal.
Second, they will throw it away if no one buys it. They usually mark it down one day before it expires. They have one day to sell everything on the shelf or it goes in the dump.
I take it home and put it in the freezer. Depending what it is it’ll last six months to a year.
Here is a strategy to cash in on this deal every single time. Look at the expiration dates. In your calendar on your phone set a reminder one day before they expire. When you return to the store, the meat will typically be reduced 50%-75% off. I only have to do this a few times before I have enough meat for several months(4-6 months usually).
I buy everything on the shelf and put it in the freezer. If they don’t have a reduced price sticker I ask at the register if they’ll discount the meat. They always say yes, I’ve never been turned down.
Do I feel bad about wiping them out? Absolutely not! I had a manager thank me for buying everything. She said “If you didn’t come and buy this we’re forced to just throw it away I’m glad your family will use it.”
You see both sides benefit. You get a deal and they keep groceries from going to the garbage while still getting a profit. There will always be shoppers willing to pay for convenience and will not do this. Grocery stores will always profit from shoppers who like convenience. That’s okay. If you want to keep thousands of dollars every year in your pocket, then give this method a try. Check out our grocery bundle here in our store for how to save thousands of dollars.
